Wilmington, Delaware – Pseudo Studios today is proud to announce the release of D*View 1.0 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch devices. D*View enables professional filmmakers to quickly and easily visualize the framing of shots for a wide variety of cameras and lenses. Because D*View has been designed exclusively as a universal app for all iOS devices, finding and capturing your shot progression has never been better.

Using your iOS device, D*View can emulate the aspect ratio and field of view for over 45 professional film and digital motion picture camera systems, including the latest cameras from ARRI, Panavision, Phantom, RED, Sony, and more. Quickly specify your lens from manufactures including Zeiss, Canon, Cooke, Hawk, Panavision, and others.

Instead of hauling expensive or bulky equipment to plan shots on scouts, cinematographers and directors can now use their mobile devices to find, capture, and share their shots. D*View captures photos by emulating the specified camera and lens, and it saves all necessary metadata, including timestamp, GPS location, device orientation, and more. Users can then share their shot progression through a wide array of options, including AirDrop, iMessage, Email, Facebook, and Twitter, or by creating a beautifully formatted PDF document that includes the desired photos and all metadata.

“Traditional director's viewfinders simply can't compete with what can be done with an iPhone or iPad. iOS devices are lighter, more maneuverable, and can do far more at a much lower price,” said Pseudo Studios founder Brian Smith, a film & visual effects professional. “D*View enables directors and cinematographers to work smarter and more efficiently, freeing them to concentrate on the creative process.”

Pricing and Availability:
D*View 1.0 is available starting today at a launch price of $29.99 (USD) on the iOS App Store in the Photo & Video category. D*View is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini running iOS 7.0 or later.
