Picture and Sound: Pre-Oscars Premiere of ‘Silent,’ a Fun Animated Short Film Celebrating Movie-Making

Leading up to this year’s Oscars at the Dolby Theatre, Dolby and Academy Award-winningMoonbot Studios premiered the animated short film, SILENT, at The Oscars Scientific and Technical Awards on Saturday. The film celebrates the importance of sound in storytelling, and the technological advancements that continue to enhance the movie-going experience. SILENT features two unlikely allies – “Morris Lessmore” (original character of the popular children’s short film The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore) representing ‘picture,’ and “The Kid,” representing ‘sound’ – as they discover how to collaborate to create movie magic.
