So. The event includes a print exhibition, auctions, book signing and lecture by photographer Bob Carey.

The event will officially launch bidding for a limited edition of the popular PocketWizard Plus® III radio trigger made specifically for Bob Carey and the Tutu Project. These fully-functional Plus III radios feature “Tutu Pink” plastic and even have a pink backlight. Limited to only 20 radios, these will be signed and numbered by Bob Carey, and auctioned off to support the Carey Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

PocketWizard will also be revealing a G-Wiz Squared bag in the same Tutu Pink color at this event. This special edition of the G-Wiz bag will be available for purchase in limited quantities via the PocketWizard website in April. All net proceeds will benefit the Carey Foundation.

“It is such an honor and a privilege to support Bob Carey and his Tutu Project by offering these limited edition pink Plus III radio triggers for auction,” said Dave Schmidt, LPA Design’s VP of Marketing. “Bob’s selflessness and devotion to helping raise funds for women battling breast cancer is truly inspiring.”

Bob Carey is a commercial photographer from Arizona with decades of photography experience. Carey's wife Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer nine years ago. A self-portrait enthusiast who had previously transformed himself in several series of artistic images, Bob began photographing himself in a pink tutu following his wife’s breast cancer diagnosis. Linda shared these images with her fellow patients while they were receiving cancer treatment. Soon the Tutu Project was born, and all proceeds from the prints go to the non-profit Carey Foundation, which provides transportation, meals, and other daily needs to women undergoing breast cancer treatment. Images from the Tutu Project have been collected in the recently self-published book Ballerina. Images and prints from the Tutu Project can be found at the Tutu Project site http://www.thetutuproject.com/. His book Ballerina, other Tutu Project gear, and donation information can be found here:
