With the ability to access both the device’s front and back cameras, Orient offers users a choice of nine different aspect ratios and several live filters. Photos can also be shared via AirDrop. Orient contains no ads or in-app purchases.
Bangalore, India – Independent developer Ajit Katti today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Orient – The Self Aligning Camera 1.0, a new auto-aligning camera app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Using the device’s internal gyroscope, Orient captures perfectly aligned pictures, despite the angle that the user’s device is held. Photos can be taken by either the front or the back camera of the device. If the user prefers the photos to appear in sync with the device’s orientation, the auto-orient feature can be easily disabled or enabled from the app’s settings menu.
Feature Highlights:
* Simple and elegant User Interface
* Auto-orient option that can be enabled or disabled
* High quality option that can be enabled or disabled
* Can be used with front or back camera
* Nine different aspect ratios to choose from
* Apply cool live filters
* Share creations with others via Airdrop
* In-app tutorial
* No ads or in-app purchases
Orient offers users a choice of nine different vertical and horizontal aspect ratios including 1 x 1, 1 x 2, 5 x 7, and 4 x 6. As a result, users are guaranteed their photos will be of the same size as well as perfectly aligned. There are also 9 different live filters that can be accessed by swiping the arrow at the top of the screen. Users can enable or disable the high quality option in capturing their photos from the app’s settings menu.
Using Airdrop, Orient allows users to share their photo creations via e-mail, text, or Facebook. Users can also save the image, assign it to a contact, copy the picture and print it out. Orient contains no ads or in-app purchases.
“The idea of Orient was conceived during my son’s birthday party. I was so busy trying to take perfect snaps that I missed out enjoying most of the special moments,” says Ajit Katti, independent developer of Orient. “I believe Apple fans deserve a camera which is more intelligent than the existing one found on iOS devices. With Orient, you can do so much more. It’s the perfect app for taking selfies or capturing photography while traveling. It is also ideal for those special occasions when speed is of the essence and you want all your photos to be the same size. Finally, Orient saves time. There’s no longer any need to spend countless hours editing. Orient saves all the time and effort.”
Device Requirements:
* iOS 6.0 and higher
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* 17 MB
Pricing and Availability:
For a limited time, Orient – The Self Aligning Camera 1.0 is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photo and Video category. It is regularly priced at $0.99 (USD).
