Sculpteo’s 3D printing now supported by Adobe® Photoshop® CC

#Sculpteo has announced the support of their technology by #Adobe® #Photoshop® CC to allow the vast creative community access to their Sculpteo’s machine profiles and printing technology.

This news builds on Adobe’s recent unveiling of breakthrough 3D capabilities in Photoshop CC that enables Adobe Creative Cloud™ members to easily and reliably build, refine, preview, prepare and print 3D designs.

Users simply download the profiles ofSculpteo printers and drag and drop them in a folder to have access to Sculpteo’s printer profiles.

« I’m delighted to see that Adobe Photoshop, the industry giant, is taking a role in 3D printing and I’m convinced that it will help designers to go beyond the current limits of 3D printing. » said Clément Moreau, CEO ofSculpteo.

By radically simplifying the 3D print process, Photoshop CC will become the go-to tool for anyone who wants to print a 3D model. Available now as part of a major update to Adobe Creative Cloud, the 3D printing capabilities integrated in Photoshop CC enable creatives to design in 3D from scratch or refine an existing 3D model and produce beautiful, print-ready 3D models using familiar Photoshop tools. Automated mesh repair and support structure generation ensure models will be produced reliably, while accurate previews allow creatives to submit print jobs with confidence.

Commenting on the addition of Sculpteo as a tool for creatives, Maria Yap, senior director of product management, Photoshop at Adobe said: “We’re excited to add Sculpteoas our first European-based 3D print service provider. Their high-quality results and quick turnaround times appeal to creativesSculpteo is a great fit for Photoshop CC’s 3D printing capabilities.”

Simplifying and Enhancing the 3D Printing Ecosystem for Designers

Photoshop CC makes 3D printing easier than ever. Designs can be printed to a locally connected 3D printer or via built-in access to popular online 3D print services. Photoshop CC supports the most popular desktop 3D printers, such as the MakerBot Replicator, and also supports the full range of high quality materials available on Sculpteo — the 3D printing community and marketplace — including ceramics, metals, and other additive materials.

Sculpteo’s news opens up an exciting new world of creative 3D modeling tools to the huge numbers of Adobe users for the production of accurate and compelling prototypes and finished designs currently in use in many creative fields, including architecture, jewelry, film and animation.
