CANON U.S.A. SHOWCASES ITS FULL LINE OF INPUT TO OUTPUT SOLUTIONS AT THE 2013 WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
LAS VEGAS, March 7, 2013 –Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will showcase its breadth of input to output imaging devices, including the Canon DreamLabo 5000 production inkjet printer, at the 2013 Wedding & Portrait Photographer International (WPPI) Convention in Las Vegas. On display at the Canon booth (#401) will be a variety of the Company’s full portfolio of image capture, display and printing equipment, which provide wedding service professionals with the tools they need to help capture beautiful images and moments and deliver top-quality albums and video for clients to cherish and share with friends and family.
“What It Takes To…” will be the theme embodying the Company’s exhibit of extensive imaging solutions for wedding photographers and videographers. There will also be an educational Speedlight demonstration studio, an education and service pavilion, and a REALiS Theatre that will display dynamic footage and photos captured with Canon devices. Attendees will have the opportunity to “touch and try” some of Canon’s latest imaging products in the EOS Digital SLR camera, Cinema EOS camera, Professional Video camera, PIXMA PRO professional inkjet and imagePROGRAF large format printers.
Canon will include live presentations and photo shoots happening on the Canon Live Learning stage throughout the tradeshow where some of Canon’s Explorers of Light will speak to how they are leveraging the quality and reliability of Canon imaging equipment to hone their craft and deliver stunning results.
Exceptional Input Solutions
With innovative features and first-class image-capture capabilities, the Canon EOS system of digital SLR cameras aid in a professional photographer’s ability to capture the joy and happiness of a couple’s wedding or the smile and glow of a family in studio. On display will be a diverse selection of EOS camera models, including the EOS-1D X digital SLR camera, which features Canon’s 61-Point High Density Reticular Autofocus (AF) System, a high-performance 18.0-megapixel full-frame CMOS image sensor, full HD video recording, continuous shooting speed of up to 12 frames-per-second (fps), and Dual DIGIC 5+ Image Processors. Also on display will be the Canon EOS 5D Mark III digital SLR camera, featuring a 22.3-megapixel full-frame Canon CMOS sensor, a DIGIC 5+ Imaging Processor, the same 61-point High Density Reticular Autofocus (AF) sensor as in the EOS-1D X and up to six frames-per-second continuous shooting speed. The EOS 6D digital SLR camera, the newest member of the EOS lineup, and the EOS 7D digital SLR camera, which employs an 18.0-megapixel APS-C size CMOS sensor and Dual DIGIC 4 Image Processors. All current Canon DSLR cameras include advanced video capabilities helping enhance the capabilities of both wedding photographers and videographers.
Visitors to the Canon booth will also be able to touch and try a broad range of Canon EF lenses, precision designed and manufactured for use with Canon EOS digital SLR cameras. Canon’s EF-series provides one of the world’s most comprehensive selections of interchangeable autofocus lenses including wide-angle telephoto, macro, fisheye, tilt/shift and many other models. Other items on display will include Canon Speedlites – advanced, versatile portable electronic flash units fully integrated with the exposure and autofocus systems of Canon EOS cameras.
High-Quality Output Devices
Capturing those perfect moments as a couple enters the union of marriage is essential, but the task doesn’t stop there, professionals must also deliver high-quality, color-crisp photo prints as well and Canon is there to assist. The Canon DreamLabo 5000 production inkjet printer helps photographers deliver a combination of outstanding image quality, detailed, crisp text quality, and productivity with its one pass, double-sided printing. Canon's FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) print-head technology helps make it possible to deliver high-speed printing of premium quality photos and supports a variety of value-added output capabilities. These capabilities include photo merchandise and high-end POD (Print on Demand) items, such as wedding albums, photo calendars, photo cards and single prints. The system realizes accurate color representation and provides an alternative to traditional silver halide processing technology.
Attendees of the Canon Kickoff Party on Sunday will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with a Canon EOS 7D digital SLR camera. This complimentary photo will be printed and available for pickup at Canon’s DreamLabo booth.
Also on display will be some of the imagePROGRAF and PIXMA PRO-series of printers. The 24-inch, 12-color imagePROGRAF iPF6450 large-format printer, and the 44-inch, 12-colorimagePROGRAF iPF8400 large-format printer, are both equipped with LUCIA EX pigment ink set, an enhanced multi-sensor and advanced printing technology to help photographers achieve extraordinary quality and enhanced color range in their printed photography. As the flagship of the professional inkjet printer lineup, the PIXMA PRO-1 printer features a 12-color LUCIA Pigment ink system that expands the color gamut with improved saturation of colors and darker, deeper blacks.Further rounding out the family of PIXMA PRO-series models are the 10-ink system PIXMA PRO-10 printer and 8-ink system PIXMA PRO-100 printer models. Each is built with the quality of output and the design of the PIXMA PRO-1 printer in mind to help ensure what was captured through a camera lens is reproduced exactly as it was envisioned.
Those looking for a full digital cinematography system will have the opportunity to examine the Canon Cinema EOS line of cameras and Cinema zoom and prime lenses. The Canon EOS C100 camera is designed to enable independent operation, and features a Super 35mm CMOS image sensor, DIGIC DV III Image Processor and AVCHD recording.
For wedding and event videographers, the XF305 and the compact, highly portable XF105professional camcorders will be on display as well. Both deliver Full HD video utilizing Canon-designed and developed native 1920 x 1080 CMOS image sensors, professional XLR microphone inputs, and Canon’s proprietary MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps XF Codec to help achieve exceptional HD image quality and color detail.
