CE Week to Feature 150+ Exhibits, Eight Conference Tracks with More Than 150 Speakers, Eight Press Conferences and Other Events
New York, NY – June 20, 2013 – CE Week, the consumer electronics and technology industry’s annual mid-year event, is set to kick-off on Monday in New York City and is slated to be the biggest CE Week to-date. The 2013 CE Week will bring together global companies and innovators for a week of conferences, exhibitions, workshops and networking events, June 24-28. The CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits, CE Week’s official show headquarters, is scheduled for June 26-27 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion.
CE Week will feature more than 150 exhibits, eight conference programs featuring over 60 sessions and more than 150 speakers, eight press conferences, two competitions, and other exciting events throughout the week focused on innovation, start-ups and what’s hot and happening in consumer electronics.
The Showstoppers VIP Preview will kick-off CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 26 with a press conference by Sharp followed by a breakfast reception with full-access to the show floor’s 150+ exhibits.
Technology innovators on display at the CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits include Dish, Epson, General Motors, Kenwood, Monster, Pioneer, Toshiba, and many more. iLounge will feature fourteen companies showcasing some of the best upcoming Apple-related products, while more than 50 start-ups will introduce their products to media and the CE industry. NYC Startup Pavilion [June 26-27, Altman Building Gallery] – Find out what’s next in the CE world by meeting 20 exciting up-and-coming startups representing a wide-range of NYC’s industry verticals.
The Consumer Revisited [June 26, 4:45 p.m., Metropolitan Pavilion, 2nd Floor] – Representatives from NYC-based businesses Grand St., Skillshare and Artsicle will discuss the changing relationship between producers and consumers in media, the arts and consumer electronics. These marketplaces are giving consumers – and the businesses that aim to reach them – new options for tuning in, learning and buying. Lauren Goode of All Things D will moderate.
New York’s Next Top Makers Pitch Night [June 26, 7 p.m., Metropolitan Pavilion, 2nd Floor] – Six finalists from NYCEDC’s New York’s Next Top Makers competition will pitch their products on stage before a live audience. A panel of New York Angels investors will select one winner to be awarded a free booth at the 2014 International CES.
For the second year the CE Week Line Shows exhibit floor will feature the Innovation Zone, an exclusive area featuring fourteen of today’s finest start-ups hand selected by show management.
FashionWare: High Tech and High Fashion
High tech meets high fashion at the Living in Digital Times FashionWare events. The 2-day exhibition, panel and runway show will explore this emerging market, showcase the latest trends, and celebrate the most sophisticated and stylish designs. Highlights include:

Organized by New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), Ayah Bdeir, Founder and CEO of littleBits, which offers an open source library for modular electronics, will kick-off Thursday’s program with a keynote presentation at 9:00 a.m. about Making in NYC.
Living in Digital Times will display the best and brightest in mobile app technology at the Mobile App Showdown. During the live showdown at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, ten finalists will put their apps to the test and the audience will cast the deciding vote on the best app.
Techlicious Founder and Editor in Chief, Suzanne Kantra will host the Techlicious Summit, at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
