New York, NY – June 26, 2013 – Beginning with a Showstoppers VIP Preview today, June 26 at 8:30 a.m., the CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits will feature a sold out show floor featuring more than 160 major brands, innovators and startups, creating the east coast’s largest assortment of new CE product introductions on a single exhibition floor.
CE Week 2013, the consumer electronics and technology industry’s annual mid-year event, kicked off yesterday with record-breaking numbers at the CEA Research Summit, DI Symposium and Engadget+gdgt Live. CE Week brings together global companies and innovators for a week of conferences, exhibitions, workshops and networking events, this week in New York City. The CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits, CE Week’s official show headquarters, is scheduled for tomorrow and Thursday, June 26-27, at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion.
CE Week Line Shows and Exhibits and the CE Week Line Shows Conference program will feature more than 150 exhibits, five Super Sessions, eight press conferences, two competitions, and other exciting events throughout the show focused on innovation, startups and what’s hot and happening in consumer electronics.
Aereo Founder and CEO, Chet Kanojia, will join Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association, for an in-depth conversation about how technology innovation drives Aereo’s business strategy at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Organized by New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), Ayah Bdeir, Founder and CEO of littleBits, which offers an open source library for modular electronics, will kick-off Thursday’s program with a keynote presentation at 9:00 a.m. about Making in NYC.
Living in Digital Times will display the best and brightest in mobile app technology at the Mobile App Showdown. During the live showdown at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, ten finalists will put their apps to the test and the audience will cast the deciding vote on the best app.
Techlicious Founder and Editor in Chief, Suzanne Kantra will host the Techlicious Summit, at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 27. During this two-hour conference focused on how to engage women consumers, attendees will discover how women make tech purchases, what type of messaging resonates with women and how to reach women through social channels, and what will be high on women’s wish lists this holiday season.
