Layrs App Introduces Groundbreaking Feature for Mobile Photography
Backgrounds Capability Optimized for iOS7 – The new Backgrounds feature allows users to completely change the story they’re conveying in photos by extracting the main subject from one photo and placing it into another photo. Once the new image is created the user can edit it with all the tools available in layrs, such as filters, blurring effects, different hues and enhancements, creating a completely unique image to share with friends and fans.
Boston, Massachusetts – Artware, Inc. continues to advance the world of mobile photo editing with the introduction of the Backgrounds feature to their app, layrs. This was the most requested feature from their fans. It was just over a month ago that Artware, Inc. introduced layrs, the pioneer app in high precision, multi-layer photo editing on a mobile device. layrs wasted no time gaining traction in the competitive arena of mobile photo apps and claimed the #1 spot in the App Store on it’s launch day.
“We’ve seen an incredible reception of layrs from mobile photographers,” said Janice Ozguc, founder. “In a short 10 days over half a million users downloaded the app. The best part? We don’t just have a fan base of talented mobile photographers, but a group who stays connected to layrs by sharing their photos and competing to be chosen as layrs Photo of the Day on social media. We know mobile photographers love to shoot and share, but the response has truly been remarkable.”

“Backgrounds is a natural progression for layrs. With the introduction of layrs, we provided mobile photographers a tool for creating photos that would normally require a DSLR camera and professional editing tools,” says Ozguc. “We listen and respond to the requests and feedback from the fans using layrs. They all wanted the next step, especially with the release of iOS7, and Backgrounds provides the next chapter in the story told by their images. We’re excited for layrs to be part of their journey.” The multi-layer technology of the layrs app achieves results previously unseen on mobile photo editing applications.
