FUJIFILM TO SHOWCASE INNOVATIONS AT THE WEDDINGAND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE & EXPO (WPPI)

Valhalla, New York, February 25, 2019 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation will showcase its latest products at WPPI, Booth #721, from February 27 – March 1, 2019 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. WPPI is the largest show for professional, amateur and emerging wedding and portrait photographers and filmmakers, drawing attendees from all over the world. At the event, Fujifilm will display its latest digital photography, photo imaging and instant square format products for photographers, providing the total imaging solution.

At WPPI, Fujifilm will showcase a range of high-quality mirrorless cameras including the new FUJIFILM X-T30, FUJIFILM X-T3 and rangefinder-style FUJIFILM GFX 50R medium format mirrorless digital camera, and the newest XF lenses. In addition, the FRONTIER-S DX100 printer, GetPix Kiosk and newly launched Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Maxima will be featured at the booth as well as the INSTAX® SQUARE SQ20 and INSTAX SQUARE SQ6.

In addition to showcasing its latest imaging solutions, Fujifilm will provide a variety of hands-on workshops, presentations and lessons, led by professional photographers and content creators at its booth #721.

Newest X Series and GFX gear for hands-on experience

The newest addition to Fujifilm’s X series lineup of mirrorless digital cameras, the FUJIFILM X-T30 will be on display. With its X-Trans CMOS 4 Sensor, the X-T30 packs greater image quality and UHD 4K video-recording capability into its thin, lightweight body (just 13.51oz). In addition, it is powered by a X-Processor 4 Quad-Core CPU to provide beginners, advanced amateurs, and professionals with faster auto-focus, better face detection when tracking moving subjects, and enough power to create high-resolution stills with notable sharpness and clarity. The X-T30 also includes advanced features such as the Focus Lever which enables users to quickly and easily shift to a focus point, an intuitive touch-screen panel, and an ergonomic body design to ensure hand-held stability in versatile shooting conditions.

Also featured will be the FUJIFILM X-T3, the world’s first APS-C mirrorless camera capable of 4K/60P 10-bit recording to fulfill the performance needs of professional videographers. The X-T3 features a new, fourth generation 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 APS-C sensor with no optical low-pass filter, debuts the quad core X-Processor 4 processor which provides incredible AF accuracy and speed, and boasts the highest performance in the history of X Series.

The booth will showcase the newest additions to the XF Lens lineup for guests to try, including the FUJINON XF16mmF2.8 R WR Lens, an affordable, compact, and lightweight wide angle lens, the FUJINON XF8-16mmF2.8 R LM WR Lens, an ultra-wide angle zoom lens capable of providing outstanding edge-to-edge image-resolving performance, and the FUJINON XF200mmF2 R LM OIS WR Telephoto Lens, the first super telephoto lens in the XF lens lineup, and its accompanying XF1.4X TC F2 WR Teleconverter.

The rangefinder-style FUJIFILM GFX 50R medium format mirrorless digital camera will be on display at the booth for guests to get hands-on experience. The GFX 50R features the FUJIFILM G Format 43.8 x 32.9mm sensor with a 51.4MP resolution and high-performance X-Processor Pro image processing engine to provide outstanding color and tone reproduction. Equipped with a 0.77x 3.69M-dot organic “OLED” electronic viewfinder, the GFX 50R achieves accurate focusing despite the large size of the medium format sensor. This camera offers intuitive handling in a lightweight, rugged and weather-sealed body to meet the varying needs of photographers. The booth will also showcase the newest addition to the GF Lens lineup including the GF100-200F5.6 R LM OIS WR Lens, which combines rugged construction with high performance optics to create an incredibly versatile lens, perfect for capturing nature, landscapes or portraits.

Photographers rely on Fujifilm to capture and provide instant prints of special moments to share with couples during the wedding day. At the booth, Fujifilm will offer complimentary demo prints on the Frontier-S DX100 and smartphone prints on the new GetPix Kiosk to showcase how high-quality prints can be achieved fast and easy.

Visitors to the booth will see how versatile printing solutions including the Frontier-S DX100 and GetPix Kiosk deliver high-quality prints perfect for wedding and event photography as well as printing. The GetPix Kiosk’s ease of use provides a simple way for people to print images from smartphones on-site to provide new revenue streams at weddings and other events or for small businesses and retail spaces. The GetPix Kiosk offers wedding and event attendees the opportunity to help capture special moments and instantaneously print photos from their smart devices. Couples will be able to cherish the high-quality print images captured by closest family and friends.

Fujifilm will also demonstrate on-site printing with the FRONTIER-S DX100, a high-quality inkjet printer that can produce prints from 3.5” x 5” up to 8” x 39”. Guests will receive complimentary demo prints from the Frontier-S DX100, and will have the opportunity to experience the ease of printing their own smartphone photos using the new GetPix Kiosk.

Fujifilm will showcase its Fujicolor Crystal Archive Papers, a family of unique silver halide color papers designed to produce long lasting, high-quality prints expected by professional photographers and their clients both for display and albums. This will include new Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Maxima, a silver halide color paper designed for the professional print world, appropriate for creating high-end photography work to be displayed in galleries, or to showcase photography as collectible pieces of art. Fujicolor Crystal Archive Professional Paper Maxima features high D-Max for deep blacks and expanded color gamut, as well as improved image stability for longer life.

From everyday moments to once-in-a-lifetime events, the INSTAX SQUARE products are perfect for any occasion. Today’s wedding photographers are incorporating the growing popularity of instant photography into events to help capture special moments and provide a one-of-a-kind keepsake for clients. The latest INSTAX SQUARE products provide a fun and unique addition to weddings for instant gratification, creativity and artistic flare.

Attendees will get to try the INSTAX SQUARE SQ20, a square format hybrid instant camera equipped with a digital image sensor and digital image processing technology that offers users the ability to select their favorite images to print, and even edit and apply various filters. The SQ20, available in Matte Black and Glossy Beige, offers new and enhanced features never before seen in the INSTAX line of instant cameras, including the new motion mode, time shift collage function and sequence filter. The camera also features a selfie mirror, built in timer and special shooting modes such as double exposure, bulb exposure and split mode for even more creative possibilities.

Also on display at the booth will be the INSTAX SQUARE SQ6 , the first square format analogue INSTAX camera, available in five colors – Graphite Gray, Aqua Blue, Blush Gold, Ruby Red and Pearl White. The SQ6 is equipped with various features that allow users to be artistic, including auto exposure control, three color filters that fit over the flash in orange, purple and green, and a selfie mode. The SQ6 also offers three unique modes – double exposure mode, macro mode and landscape mode – to ensure capture of any moment in an instant.
