Light Product-Be CameraReady-Look Great Online-By EMMy Nominated Lighting Designer-CameraReady!
New York, NY — January 25, 2021 CameraReady has been awarded an Honorable Mention by the LIT Lighting Design Awards for CameraReady LiteBars, an innovation by Christien Methot in response to the need for better lighting as workers moved online during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Christien Methot is an internationally-acclaimed lighting designer. Methot’s principal company, Design One Lighting Design has provided design services on projects including Oscar de la Renta fashion shows, the Jianfu Palace Museum in Beijing’s Forbidden City, and US Open performances.
In the absence of live events as the pandemic hit, Methot pivoted his business to provide lighting for people working from home. Methot designed CameraReady LiteBars using the same angles and color temperature TV lighting designers use, while making them easy to fit on users’ desks.
The award marks an important milestone as CameraReady continues to grow, demonstrating a shift in strategies of live event production companies, and in the way people working from home present themselves online. “If you illuminate yourself, you value yourself and that comes across in all of your communications,” says Methot, “In using CameraReady LiteBars for video meetings you present yourself with confidence; people can see your facial expressions clearly and therefore your ideas are more easily understood.”
The LIT Lighting Design Awards are granted by the Farmani Group for excellence in the field of lighting design. Notable 2020 winners include the Chicago Union Station restoration and Hyundai Motors’ Tuscon Parametric Jewel. Christien Methot has also won LIT Design Awards for his company’s work on the 2019 World Pride Closing Ceremony and a 2018 US Open performance starring Kelly Clarkson.
