175 years of photography – 167 years of Tetenal.Pictures best friend.

 

Norderstedt/Cologne, photokina September 2014; Tradition – imaging expertise – innovation: These characteristics have distinguished Tetenal since its establishment in 1847. The company has been highly regarded by the photographic community almost since the time “PHOTO” technology was invented. Now Tetenal has launched a microsite – seit1847.tetenal.de – to honor this special event. The site visualises the fascination of photography by presenting a wide range of contemporary milestones.


“Happy Birthday PHOTO” is this year’s motto of the Norderstedt-based company. In 2014 Tetenal is celebrating the 175th anniversary of the photographic industry and is inviting all photography enthusiasts, professional imaging service providers and the specialist photographic retail sector to come together at photokina to pay tribute to the huge momentum behind the fascination of photography.


Alongside exciting and innovative new products in the areaof colour and B/W chemicals, visitors to Tetenal in hall 4.2, stand no. 46 can also expect to find new, attractively designed inkjet media and news about Silverbook (photo albums from the in-house album manufacturer). Tetenal will also be presenting new marketing concepts at the stands of its partners Kodak Alaris, Epson and DNP.


On the occasion of the photographic industry’s anniversaryTetenal will for the first time, also be organising the Tetenal European B/W Classics Award: A European analogue B/W photography competition with prizes totalling €5,000.
